What is YouTube?

It is the world's No. 1 video sharing site, with very active video postings by both professionals and amateurs, and provides a variety of content. We are the second largest mobile (smartphone) video sharing site in the world, boasting an overwhelming scale that is unrivaled by any other company. By posting on YouTube with Google AdWords, you can promote your company's advertisements to users all over the world. Also, since there is a variety of content, it is possible to set advertisements for a variety of user attributes. Broadly speaking, there are three types of ad formats:

  • image advertising
  • video ads
  • Article content side

Google video ads

  • "True View in-stream advertising"
  • “True View In-Search Advertising”
  • "True View in-display advertising"

You can deploy advertisements in 3 different patterns.

  • True View in-stream ads

Advertisements are played during the "pre-roll, mid-roll, and post-roll (beginning, middle, and end of the video)" of YouTube videos. After the ad is displayed for 5 seconds, a link will appear allowing you to choose to proceed to the video content or continue reading the ad. Fees are charged only when an ad is played for 30 seconds, and for ads shorter than 30 seconds, the fee is charged only when the ad is played to the end.

  • True View Insearch Ads

TrueView in-search videos appear on YouTube search results pages and in Google video search results ad inventory. You only pay when a user chooses to watch your video ad.

  • True View in-display advertising

It will appear next to other YouTube videos or in related content on the Google Display Network that matches your target audience. You only pay when a user chooses to watch your video ad. Display ad formats vary by publisher. On YouTube, this ad will appear as a recommended video.

The billing method for placing video ads on Google AdWords is an auction format, and there are three bidding methods: cost per click (CPC), cost per impression (CPM), and cost per ad view (CPV). You can choose the bidding method according to your needs.
